About
HelixPin Play started as a group chat between three friends who kept arguing about which tower defence game was actually the deepest. Instead of settling it once, we decided to keep the argument going in public. The site is independent — nobody hands us a schedule of what to cover.
We focus on strategy and tower defence on phones because that's the corner we know best, but we happily wander into RPGs, racing, and the occasional weird simulator when something grabs us. Every review here comes from real time spent tapping, retrying missions, and losing to the same boss more times than we'd admit.
Games get picked for one reason: they're interesting to write about. Sometimes that's a polished hit, sometimes it's a scrappy indie with one brilliant idea. We install, play for at least a few sessions, and only then form an opinion. If a game bores us after an hour, that goes in the review too.
The editorial line is simple. We don't chase press releases, we don't recycle store descriptions, and we tell you when something isn't worth it. Our readers are people who want a straight answer before they download.
