Big Bass Studio surprised me. I expected a quick time-waster and ended up playing it across a whole weekend of commutes. The core loop is casting your line, timing a simple tap to hook a fish, then dragging it in against a gentle tension meter. It's tactile in a way a lot of casual games aren't — the pull-and-release rhythm feels satisfying on a touchscreen. The twist is the studio part. Every catch feeds into a little workshop where you craft rods, decorate your dock, and unlock new fishing spots. Progression is slow but never feels grindy, mostly because the game respects short sessions. You can play three minutes at a bus stop and still make meaningful progress. Controls are one-thumb friendly, which I appreciated. Nothing about it is demanding, and that's the point. Big Bass Studio is a calm, well-paced sim that's easy to recommend when you want something relaxing rather than tense.
